What is Stagefright?

Stagefright is a security vulnerability that allows an attacker to remotely control a device, even if the remote user doesn’t have root access to the device. This is possible because Android devices use a sandboxed web browser that doesn’t allow remote code execution.

How is Stagefright different from other vulnerabilities?

Unlike other vulnerabilities, Stagefright doesn’t require an attacker to have root access to a device. All a remote user needs is to be able to send commands to the device and get output. This allows an attacker to steal information and perform other malicious acts.

The problem with Stagefright is that it’s so easy to exploit. All you have to do is install a remote web browser that can be accessed through a computer, and then you’re ready to go.

What is the impact of Stagefright?

Stagefright is a security vulnerability that allows an attacker to steal information and perform other malicious acts. It affects all Android devices that use a web browser and is therefore not confined to a particular model of device.
